Byron Calley nicknamed Cruible was recruited by Magneto into Max's Brotherhood, after he was nearly arrested for refusing to enlist in the Sokovia Accords, with the promise of a home and care. He was, in addition, tasked with recruiting those in target of becoming part of the Sokovia Accords and burning the lists and facilities containing the lists of the Accords.
