Martin Li, also known as Mister Negative, was a criminal from China who was involved in human trafficking operations. Martin was born in China and was pushed into a life of crime by the crime boss known as Silver Fang. He smuggled Chinese immigrants into the United States as a crew member of the Golden Mountain. In the 2000s, the crew of the Golden Mountain were hired to deliver a shipment of experimental drugs to New Orleans, but on the night they were scheduled to arrive, an incoming storm caused the ship to nearly crash onto the Louisiana shores. On that night, a Roxxon Oil Platform collapsed and released a wave of energy into the waters of New Orleans, and Li was one of the people exposed to the Darkforce and Lightforce energy. After the storm had passed, Martin Li found that he was the only surviving crew member of the Golden Mountain who'd managed to swim to the shores. In Spider-Man PS4, He Punched SSpider-Man (Peter Parker). 5 Times & Peter Parker Punched Him & Dodged Martin & Beat Him Up& He Was Arrested In The Raft With The Sinister Six Attacking Him & Doctor Otto Octavius Threw Parker Away In The Water & Otto Said ''Useless'', & Threw Him & Broke & Metal Part.Though initially Martin Li did not display powers, the Lightforce altered Martin Li's personality and made him into a benevolent individual. He severed ties with his past and built a new life for himself, earning a fortune in the shipping industry, becoming a philanthropist, and founded the F.E.A.S.T. organization to help the homeless. However, at the time when Cloak and Dagger DLC powers began to manifest, Martin's did as well, and along with his newfound abilities the Darkforce started to corrupt Martin's personality and slowly overpowered his good nature. In public Martin would resume his efforts to help the poor, but in secret, Li returned to his criminal lifestyle and started making his own criminal faction by recruiting Chinese immigrants, the Demons.
Powers and Abilites[]
Mister Negative can generate and control the Darkforce, manifesting it as the photographic negative of black electrical energy. But as a side effect his skin has been darkened. He uses this unique form of Darkforce for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to:
- Limited Shapeshifting: He also has a limited form of shapeshifting.
- Super Characteristics: His Mr. Negative persona possesses an undefined level of superhuman physical characteristics, likely due to the Darkforce energy. Mr. Negative displayed superhuman strength, sending Spider-Man flying through two buildings with a single blow.
- Object Empowerment: Mr. Negative's touch can imbue objects.
- Person Empowerment/Healing Touch: Mr. Negative's touch can imbue people with energy for various effects. Martin Li's touch has healing properties.
- Person Empowerment/Corrupting Touch: Mr. Negative's touch has brainwashing and corrupting properties: his touch can change people's personalities and temperaments and make them serve his interests.
