One of Wolverine's Main Uniforms with the S.H.I.E.L.D Emblem
An old friend of Steve Rogers from WWII. When Captain America lived his life with Peggy Carter, he still helped fight in WWII while his younger self was frozen in ice. He met James 'Logan" Howlett when he was assigned on a mission with Logan's unit. During this mission, Steve learns that Logan is a mutant with bone claws and a healing factor. Logan asked Steve to never tell anyone about him or mutantkind. After the successful mission, Steve invited Logan to join the Howling Commandos, an elite unit led by Dum Dum Dugan that was rescued in Captain America's first mission. While on the team, Logan gained the nickname "Wolverine". When Steve is asked by Sam Wilson if he's going to tell Sam about what happened when he went back, he responds saying, "No, no I don't think I will". One of the countless things he does not share with Sam in this moment is meeting Logan and learning of mutantkind. Logan is thought of as a story when he is seen fighting with his claws in small towns, bars, and the wild because no one else ever believes the accounts. Steve and Logan still get together and share a drink while talking about life (Captain America told him that he traveled through time). One day, Logan knows that he's going to have to do something that will show the world what he is. He goes to Steve to talk about it. Steve encourages him and Logan eventually goes on his mission... to fight a loose Hulk in the north. Bruce Banner and Hulk eventually got so mad that they ceased to be the Merged Hulk, and went back to the larger, wilder Hulk. S.H.I.E.L.D, knowing about Logan (I don't know how yet), send him to take down the Hulk. (This will be done in either a Hulk solo film or a Wolverine solo film). Logan did not participate in any of the major events for the same reason no other mutants did, he didn't want the world to know.
