James Marks is a Hybrid that was conceived when a male Dire Wraith under the identity of "Jacob Marks" married a human woman named Marjorie whom he had fallen in love with.
As James grew up he used his shape shifting powers to blend in while keeping his true appearance in his household. His parents tried their best to comfort him, but to little success. They later died after his father was discovered by SHIELD and he tried to escape. Angry at SHIELD for the loss of his parents, James planned revenge over the years.
He later enlisted as a candidate for the Young Avengers program. After a few weeks at the Academy he learned the location of the SHIELD HQ. He then went on to use his shape shifting powers to blend in, while he planted a bomb in the lab researching anything involving powers or aliens. James also took the advantage of stealing large amounts of files about other SHIELD facilities from their database while posing as Coulson. After he left James made contact with the High Evolutionary and agreed to give him the files in exchange for a seat at the table. In short the Hybrid caused a massive blow to SHIELD's operations, killing 20 agents and wounding 18.
