For an alternate version, I suggest checking out Swordsman.
Background[]
Jack Duquesne is a small time petty criminal who has been in and out of prison many times. One day he is caught Clint Barton. Clint later trains Jack in sword fighting and hand-to-hand combat. Under the alias of the Swordsman, Jack wields a dagger, throwing knives, and a collapsible sword made by the Avengers that fires energy blasts and can be swung to launch an arc of energy. The sword can also be used as a non-lethal weapon as a taser or blunt weapon. His armor is more tactical than it is in the comics like Captain America's MCU suit, with a shorter fin on the helmet.
NOTE: Jack is caught and trained by Clint Barton in a Hawkeye movie.
Swordsman[]
A man known as the Grim Reaper goes to the Tinkerer for help making a weapon out of stolen Stark tech. We later find out that the Tinkerer uses this tech to turn Grim Reaper's right hand into a scythe that can shoot energy blasts and arcs and can fire electrical shocks to stun opponents. We find out that the Grim Reaper is stealing Stark tech to help his brother who is slowly and painfully dying due to an accident that occurred years before, with the condition growing worse. In the end, Jack gets Starch tech from Pepper Potts to assist the Grim Reaper in helping his brother, Simon. Eventually Simon will become Wonder Man and join the Avengers.
Swordsman and the Circus of Crime[]
The Circus of Crime (Ringmaster, Princess Python, Trickshot, Human Cannonball, and Bruto the Strong Man) starts spreading chaos around the city. The Ringmaster also tries to get Jack to join their Circus of Crime, but Jack refuses. Jack sets out to defeat the Circus. But there are five criminals, and Jack is just one man. But he is the Swordsman, and one Swordsman is all that's needed.
Third Swordsman Movie[]
Taskmaster, the ultimate living weapon. He has studied the moves of the greatest combatants in history, including Captain America, Daredevil, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Iron Fist, Black Panther, Moon Knight, and Shang Chi. But now there's a new hero around, and Taskmaster plans to collect the bounty on his head while stealing his moves at the same time, before he kills him. Who is this new hero? The Swordsman. In the conclusion of the Swordsman trilogy, Jack will face the most difficult challenge and most dangerous foe in his life. Jack will face defeat over and over, but will not give up, because the Swordsman will fight until his last dying breath.
