Marsha Rosenberg spent much of her youth being the “chubby” compatriot to Mary MacPherran. Both were basically outcasts in their school years and even physically picked on and beaten up on by the more popular girls. Each was their best (if only) friend.
Both she and Mary were chosen by Dr. Doom to receive powers in exchange for allegiance. Marsha gained powers to control magma and heat and donned the codename “Volcana.”
Powers and Abilities[]
Volcana has the ability to transform her body into three separate volcanic forms: Plasma, Stone (basalt) and Ash (pumice).
- Plasma: In this form Volcana can project bursts of 5,000 Fahrenheit heat, up to a 40 feet range. Her body in this form is surrounded by a corona of superheated plasma, which melts or combusts most projectiles that touch it.
- Stone: This form grants Volcana superhuman Class 50 strength, and a high resistance to injury.
- Ash: Volcana can control her shape at will when in this form.
