Werner von Strucker
Werner Von Strucker is the oldest child of Wolfgang Von Strucker, one of HYDRA's greatest leaders.
Biography[]
When he was born his father valued him as a son but did not believe he could be a true leader of HYDRA, so he had him grow up weak and reliant on money. Wolfgang instead saw potential in his other children Andrea and Andreas Strucker and had them trained and experimented on to be his heirs, while Werner would live out his life away from HYDRA.
After his father died, and his twin siblings went on to work for Red Skull, Werner continued to take advantage of his father's wealth by living the fancy life. This did not lost more than a few months, as a splinter faction of HYDRA led by Grant Ward saw to use Werner's funds for their operations. Grant saw the same potential in Werner that John Garret saw in him, and so took Werner as a protege so that he could mold Werner into a cruel HYDRA operative.
During his first mission Werner was ordered to survey Andrew Garner and kill him should it be necessary. When Werner received the kill order Andrew transformed into Lash and took out Werner's backup. Werner now horrified of what Ward might do went to an associate of his fathers for help. This associate gave Ward Werner's location in order to keep him from talking. Ward's men then servely injured Werner, but before he slipped into a coma he revealed to Melinda May the truth about her husband.
